The still small voice.
You better listen up, pilgrim.
Ethics and morality not based in the grace, love, truth, goodness, mercy and righteousness of Christ are not permanently moral or ethical. Merely human morals & ethics are always, always changing. Without Christ’s Spirit authentic ethics & morality are impossible.
In this materialistic era, the evil heart of unbelief holds great sway over many people. Many, many people have been taught, and have learned, to ignore and ridicule the still small voice of God’s Christ Spirit in their own lives. From childhood to the grave: schools, universities, homes, and workplaces everywhere discourage & ignore the living tenderness and goodness of what it means to be alive. To gain success, the “killer instinct” is required. Death is big business.
God’s Christ Jesus of Nazareth was born into this world to stand as One Man Alone against the hosts of satanic death who dominate this present moment.
Traffic in to-day’s global commerce is, foremost, aimed at distracting anyone-&-everyone from the sound of God’s still small voice. Have you ever heard the tale of how God revealed the presence of His still small voice? If you haven’t, take 20 seconds to read the two verses connected to the link in these words: STILL SMALL VOICE.
That man, Elijah, named in those O.T. verses, is the same Elijah who appeared in the New Testament with glistering, shining Jesus and Moses on the mount of transfiguration.
O.K. So there are 3 underlined links to 3 different Scriptures. The verses in each of those links describes a positively supernatural event that happened in this world of our own time and space. The men, i.e. the human beings, described in those 3 Scriptures drank the same water, breathed the same air and ate the same food as we, the people of to-day. The biggest difference between us and them is our perceptions of what we believe is possible or impossible. Lotta folks to-day are fond of saying, “Anything is possible.” But they don’t believe it.
Man-made religion (of all kinds) has been systematically degraded, demoted, devolved, ridiculed and discounted. According to the “higher criticism” of to-day, none of the supernatural stuff in Hebrew\Christian Scriptural history is possible. Modern practitioners of “higher criticism” boil it down to geniuses like themselves giving the peons of olden times a fantastic sop of terrifying fantasy. Fantastic lies are what keeps the little people on the path of profitable obedience. Right?
Prince of the prophets, Elijah, got a crash course in God’s expressions of supernatural power. First the wind, then the earthquake, and then fire. And then, the STILL SMALL VOICE. Elijah stood as he had been commanded to stand at the mouth of the cave where he had been hiding from Jezebel’s assassins. Elijah stood there and watched the world before his eyes be consumed in the overwhelming catastrophe of nature unchained by the Hand of Him who created all of Nature. But not one hair on Elijah’s head was harmed. He survived. He had the courage to stand in his trust of God’s power and protection. And he survived to stand later with the Christ of God and Moses in a signal event of our Age.
To-day we endure the immoral winds of depraved worldwide violence; the immoral earthquakes of a vast commerce & traffic in wholesale industries of death: weaponry, abortion, and teenaged gamers honing their skills in murder and blood. And overall there are the cold, immoral flames of public education, consuming the conscience and consciousness of the generations; teaching lies for truth, darkness for light. All of it is satanic; all of it is materialist, humanist, humanistic madness.
The still small voice of God our Father has not changed. In this moment, the Lord of Spirits keeps the choice of his still small voice alive and strengthened by Christ’s Spirit. In this moment, though so many of them could not care less, even so, every soul on earth is standing, right now, in the Presence of God. Without God’s Presence, nothing could exist. The necessity of God’s Presence is immutable and complete. The choice to live without acknowledging the necessity of God’s Presence with us now in Christ’s Spirit is exactly that: a choice—a conscious, ongoing choice.
From the close of Eden to this present day, this good and evil world has not changed. All of the natural world and its (pointedly ignored) supernatural foundations are elements God our Father has created and fashioned for His purposes.
The winds, fires, and earthquakes of satanic evil, human ignorance and demonic rebellion hold no sway over anyone who will choose to hearken, in the tremendous tenderness of their most secret hope, they choose and hearken with gratitude to God’s call. Listen and respond to the still small voice of Christ’s Spirit. It’s a choice. Make it. Stick with it. Don’t look back...
LUKE 11:13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
