A LIE FROM THE PIT OF HELL: "The only absolute truth is that there is no absolute truth."
Like the title of that old pop song says, "It's what a fool believes..."
(1,565 words)
As this present Age of Grace in Christ draws to a close, man-made institutions of modern religion, philosophy and science have become fundamentally atheist in their purpose and outlook. AS God foretold in Isaiah, humanity is being devoured by a sword of atheist lies.
ISAIAH 1:18-20 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land. But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
Have you ever heard of the modern philosophical concept called emotivism? Neither had I until I read this article. The article at the link reports on the work of a 20th century philosopher named Alasdair Macintyre. In reviewing Mr. Macintyre’s work, emotivism is mentioned as a stream of deep cultural influence in western civilization. Emotivism? Brave’s A.I. bot explains:
Emotivism is a meta-ethical theory in philosophy that posits moral statements do not express factual propositions but instead function as expressions of the speaker’s emotions or attitudes. It is a form of non-cognitivism, meaning that ethical statements are not truth-apt and cannot be classified as true or false.
Got that? Ethical statements are not truth-apt and cannot be classified as true or false. Emotivism is not funny, it is the philosophy of zombies.
That TRUTH-APT foolishness reminded me (again!) of a moment I’ve often recalled. The year was 1962. It was a weekday. I was a 10th-grader in a crowded between-class hallway of my high school. Public school between classes; halls jammed wall-to-wall. There were a thousand other young people in that old building, rushing to class before the next bell rang. Grades 8 thru 12. Boys and girls. In the crowd I spotted one of the boys headed my way. We were pals. We locked eyes and he walked up to me, stopped us both standing in the rushing crowd, and said this: “The only absolute truth is that there is no absolute truth.” Then he stepped around me and kept walking. I turned and watched him go; standing stock-still in that little river of young humanity, thinking about what I’d just heard my friend say. I didn’t ever think to ask him which one of the teachers in that school taught him to say that.
“The only absolute truth is that there is no absolute truth.” I knew right away my high-school pal was not talking about telling lies. He was talking about something else. Something bigger, more important. Nowadays I’m learning at least at little about where the only absolute truth is that there is no absolute truth originated. One more thing I have learned for certain: only a fool would believe it.
I began learning more about it in Los Angeles, 1979. How I got there is another long story. One-Nine-Seven-Nine is the number of the year when LORD Christ by His Spirit led me to one of His ministers who at that time was a genuine flame of Godly fire. He was also a tremendously gifted teacher. He had acquired a doctoral degree in a course of study described as Philosophies Of Education at a then-prestigious private university in northern California. My teacher in Christ had earned his university education by the award of scholarships, undergraduate and graduate, in the 1950’s, when a PhD scholarship was hard to win, and its degree even harder to earn. The minister who introduced me to the LORD had a hard-earned PhD. When he decided to use what he had learned for the benefit of Christ’s work instead of U.S. government work, he became an enemy of the state. He died a broken man, but not before he had imparted some seriously serious wisdom about eternal things to galoots like me. My teacher told us that in university his doctoral professor had been an atheist who had blasted him and his childish faith in God more than once, always finishing each tirade with, “Well, I don’t care what you believe. When I’m finished with you, you’ll be able to explain it to anybody.” And so it was that before the state and federal government got under his skin and drove him crazy, that is exactly what my first teacher in Christ did. He explained the ABSOLUTE inevitability & necessity of God in Christ. And I am not the only who understood his explanation.
A.D. 1979. That is when the LORD God Christ began to bring me in from the worldly cold of atheist lies. Sometimes I still get a bad atheist chill in the old me-me-me, doubling back on the shadow-self of dying flesh in this eternal life of soul.
The way, the truth and the life of Christ are absolute. Tricky humanist atheism can, and does, present lies and illusions that alter one’s perceptions of mortal reality. But those erroneous perceptions cannot change Reality Itself. Without God’s Christ Life these vast collections of things, events and circumstances that surround us would not, could not, exist.
God’s teaching minister taught us at length about the odious philosophy and influence of a man named John Dewey In U.S. public education the first 50 years of the 20th century saw a battle between John Dewey’s Progressive Reconstructionism versus Common Sense Objective Realism. The forces of Satanic darkness, principalities and powers in high places knew, instantly, that with subversive propaganda and promotion built around Mr. Dewey’s godless philosophical superstructure, any lie, any lie at all no matter how ridiculous, could be made into a faux-truth. Or as they say today, truth-apt. The hellish lie of emotivism is a sprout from the bitter root of John Dewey’s twisted philosophy.
Below are three paragraphs from Brave’s A.I. responding to my query, EXPLAIN REALISM VS IDEALISM IN PUBLIC EDUCATION RELATING TO JOHN DEWEY. Honesty is best and this robot’s response strikes me as quite honest.
“In public education, realism and idealism represent contrasting philosophical foundations that shape curriculum, teaching methods, and the purpose of schooling. Realism emphasizes the transmission of objective facts, universal truths, and established disciplines, viewing education as a means to prepare students for the real world by mastering a core body of knowledge. It assumes a stable, external reality that can be discovered and taught, often resulting in a curriculum centered on subjects like mathematics, science, and history, with a focus on intellectual development through discipline and memorization. Idealism, on the other hand, prioritizes the development of the mind and the pursuit of eternal, unchanging ideals through the study of classic literature, philosophy, and moral principles. It sees education as a process of cultivating reasoning, character, and spiritual growth by engaging with “big ideas” and timeless truths.
“John Dewey, a leading pragmatist philosopher, rejected both realism and idealism as inadequate for modern democratic society and evolving human experience. He argued that viewing reality as fixed and unchanging—central to both realism and idealism—was fundamentally flawed, especially in a world undergoing constant transformation. Dewey criticized the traditional curriculum rooted in these philosophies for being disconnected from students’ lived experiences and for promoting passive learning. Instead, he advocated for an educational approach grounded in pragmatism, where learning occurs through active, hands-on experience and problem-solving. For Dewey, education should not merely transmit inherited culture or abstract ideals but should be a dynamic, experiential process that prepares individuals to engage with and improve their social environment.
“Dewey’s philosophy, often termed reconstructionism, positions schools as agents of social change, where students learn by addressing real-world issues through collaborative inquiry and experimentation. He believed that knowledge is not discovered in isolation but is constructed through interaction with the environment, making the learner an active participant in the process of knowing. This contrasts sharply with idealism’s focus on contemplation of eternal truths and realism’s emphasis on mastering objective facts. Dewey’s vision calls for a democratic classroom where teachers act as facilitators, guiding students based on their interests and helping them develop problem-solving skills that transfer across contexts. In this way, Dewey’s approach redefines education as a practical, evolving process that empowers individuals to shape their own lives and contribute to a more equitable and progressive society.”
Those three paragraphs summarize the fundamental cause behind the madness and decay of present-day western civilization. The long atheist march thru the institutions of the west began with John Dewey’s godless reconstructivst philosophy. Whichever sick-in-the-head teacher taught my high-school pal to say, “The only absolute truth is that there is no absolute truth...” must have been a JohnDewey devotee—whether they knew anything about John Dewey or not.
The-only-absolute-truth-is-that-there-is-no-absolute-truth. That saying is a bit of high-sounding gibberish tailored to fit the ignorant vanity of high school boys like me. 1962 to 1979. Seventeen years of my young life were spent believing that bullshit. The Holy Spirit of Christ speaking to me thru the voice of His well-educated minister began the process of Christ’s salvation in my soul.
May God our Father’s love, goodwill, determined purpose, hope, loyalty and truth in Christ’s Spirit crack wide open the hardened heart and darkened mind of anyone who may be foolish enough to suppose that the only absolute truth is that there is no absolute truth. Do not allow yourself to be destroyed by the atheist sword of lies.

Thanks for link to background info on Dewey. His ideas truly were/is far reaching, both in scope and longevity. Dogma becoming "truth" it has been repeated for so long. Hard to believe the same man created a fuctional system for classifying books in libraries.
